I am currently a Sophomore at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. Next year I will be studying abroad in Kyoto, Japan to further my Japanese language skills and knowledge of Japan. I consider myself fairly well versed in pre-modern Japanese literature and have read a smattering of modern literature. In addition, I am an avid costumer and enjoy any sort of costume to examine. This summer I will be working with my costume professor to research and restore 18th and 19th century hats and bonnets, something that I will no doubt detail here! Finally, though it has been a while, I am quite interested in the steampunk style and would love to get back into it after a run in with a livejournal mod last summer!
